I have tried this blanket several times. i count every row. It gets wider than more narrow then wider. i get so frustrated! I want to conquer it one day)

This looks like a perfect choice for a quick project for an inexpensive gift for a baby shower, nursery dcor or charity blanket. The instructions are easy to understand. A person who is new to crochet should be able to make this for a first large project. It is adorable. This is a blanket any of us could make to put away for a quick gift or donation.

Where do I find the pattern for the matching hat! That is so adorable! Perfect for making for charity set!

Hi! I added a link to the pattern for the hat at the bottom of the page. Thanks, Krista, Editor. You can find it here: http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/one-ball-baby-blanket-and-hat

I am a little confused. Do you chain with the size K hook and then work the rows with the size G hook?

I just checked the original pattern and it seems that the smaller hook was for the hat, not the blanket. You will use only the K hook for this project. Sorry for the confusion, but I have now updated the pattern to reflect that. Thanks, Krista, Editor

Thanks so much Krista. I am needing a quick pattern to make baby blankets for our church ministry and I love v-stitch patterns.

Is it possible to get the pattern for the hat shown with this blanket?

Yes, the hat is included in the pattern on the Red Heart site: http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/one-ball-baby-blanket-and-hat. Thanks, Krista, Editor
