Twisted Tweed Sport Yarn

If you haven't worked with yarns from Expression Fiber Arts yet, then you are certainly missing out. There isn't a single yarn that I haven't immediately fallen in love with and Twisted Tweed is no different.


Twisted Tweed is a sport weight yarn made of 43% superwash merino wool and 15% donegal that are twisted together to create a barber pole effect. Because the two wools take dye differently, this is why they have to be twisted after the dyeing process. In each skein you'll see speckles of plum, brown and gold donegal tweed neps. Expression Fiber Arts always comes up with brilliant color choices, but my favorites in Twisted Tweed is Sparkling Snow, Tidal Pool, Elinor and Amphitrite; they each have their own special characteristic. Typical wool yarns can be irritating to the skin, but this is quite soft and luxurious.


Each skein comes in 384 yards and weighs 3.5 ounces and gives you that heirloom vibe, but also provides the perfect modern feel.
