  • Hook: Size 6 mm (U.S. J/10) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Instructions:

Note: When joining colors, work to last 2 loops on hook of first color. Draw new color through last 2 loops and proceed.

  1. Stripe Pat

    With A, work 1 row. With B, work 1 row. These 2 rows form Stripe Pat.
    With A, ch 178. Mark every 50th ch for easier counting.
    1st row: (RS). 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 4 ch. Miss next 2 ch. 1 sc in each of next 4 ch. *3 sc in next ch. 1 sc in each of next 4 ch. Miss next 2 ch. 1 sc in each of next 4 ch. Rep from * to last ch. 2 sc in last ch. Join B. Turn.
    2nd row: With B, ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. *3 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Miss next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Rep from * to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. Join A. Turn. Last row forms Ripple Pat. First 2 rows of Stripe Pat are complete.
    Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, cont in Ripple Pat until work from beg measures approx 65" [165 cm], ending with 1 row of A.
    Fasten off.
