Wow! This is another baby blanket that I want to do. I love the way bright yellow is combined with medium blue, and using the cross stitch stitch makes it so unique. This will also look great in other color combos.

I am happily surprised that this new to me stitch, X-Stitch, is really easy to make. The designer included pictures in the directions and that is always a help. After a few rows the pattern just repeats itself. Thanks for the free pattern and the link to how to create a chain less foundation. Have not tried that one yet.

I was skimming over the directions for this x-stitch afghan. I did not notice there are directions to change colors or a note that the designer used a self striping yarn. Any ideas on that issue?

Once you click the green link that reads, "Click here for crochet blanket pattern" then you will be on the page with the pattern. There are a few different ways to print. I like the look of this X Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern. When you click the tab to get the pattern, the page will show a picture of another blanket, but if you scroll down and you will find the a picture and the pattern. I like that she has a link to do the chainless crochet, to help understand how to.. This pattern is very well written and easy to follow. It's a nice little twist to the normal baby blankets. Thank you so much for this free pattern.

None of your "correct link" attachment works. And this is not the perfect blanket for a baby! The holes create issues with tiny fingers and toes!
