Sticks and Stones Square
The reflective, personal quality of crochet shines through the Sticks and Stones Square, which uses this crochet square pattern to also create a devotional on relationships. This easy crochet pattern invites you to crochet and think about how to react to hurtful encounters in a spiritual way, while also producing a beautiful crochet square that can serve as a memento of the devotional or as a prayer reminder. The crochet bobble stitch design communicates the idea of "sticks and stones may break my bones" in a subtle and elegant way through the X-shape in the center. This personal project will be an ideal way to work through your experiences.
