The warm days of Spring are fast approaching and when I saw the title tropical pineapple squares I had to take a look. I am pleasantly surprised. I must admit the picture is not what I had in my minds eye. This is beautiful with the swirls in that magnificent color of blue. I spy intermediate skill lever and no pictures so this may not be one I elect to work on.

My Mom was the Queen of pineapple motives. Most of her projects were table clothes and bedspreads and her favorite medium of material, crochet thread. The vibrant colors were not as readily available so most of my pieces are white. She would have loved this. Needless to say, she would have made it. Saving this one.

What an interesting design. The motifs remind me of Celtic crosses. I noticed them before I noticed the pineapples. I really like this. It is very unique. I like that they are made with worsted, rather than a thin thread. While a thread would be daintier, this would work up much quicker. However, I do wonder if DK would be nicer still.

I do indeed need a little something something to brighten my woman cave. This throw is the perfect size for throwing over my feet and legs at night when I am up late reading my current book while the rest of the family sleeps. Will also make a good transition to the patio on warmer evenings.

I can't wait to make this beautiful bed cover. I appreciate the the well written pattern directions. I can make this to fit a queen size bed for me and a single for the grand kids guest bed. The pattern doesn't suggest a crochet hook size so I will go with what the yarn I choose suggest.. Thank you for the free pattern
