The nice thing about the Soft Clusters Ripple Afghan is that the borders and edges are crocheted as you go. This easy to make ripple pattern can be made in a solid color or in any colors you like. A soft worsted weight yarn makes this ripple afghan extra cuddly.

This ripple design is so dainty and cool. You can make this in a solid bright color or in different colors. Here is the link to the pattern http//stitcheryprojects.com/2012/05/06/soft-cluste == rs-ripple-afghan/. The pattern says "easy" which should be easy enough for beginners.
