Umbrella Spiral Blanket
The Umbrella Spiral Blanket is a truly mesmerizing blanket. Afghan patterns like these are not necessarily for beginners since you will have four skeins of yarn attached at the same time. This afghan pattern can be used to make a baby blanket or it can be made larger to be a full afghan. Pastel colors work great, but be sure to use a contrasting color to make the spiral design more prominent.

I could not believe my luck when I checked my email 2day. 25 years ago I made something similar for my god-daughter and last week she told me she was pregnant and would love me to make one for her bubby. Sadly, due to bush fires 3 years ago she lost everything. Anyways, I searched high and low and could not find my pattern. I turned on the computer to check if I could find one here. I am still somewhat stunned but oh so very happy! This one is so striking I am going to replicate the colours. A gazoodle thank yous from the happiest crocheter from Down Under.

I wonder if you could do each spiral a different color? Then it would look like a pinwheel design. That's what I've been looking for in a crochet blanket!
