This pattern needs a rewrite into modern terms as well as corrections. The bone crochet hook listed in the materials is the first clue.

This pattern is confusing. I understand ch245 but it does not state which chain you start this with. usually it will say 2 or 3 chain from hook. this is what it begins with.With Dk. Blue ch 245, 1 s c in each of the next sts, it is not clear on this. Thank you. I agree, the color would be nice.
