Love it, love it a lot. A christening blanket with matching layette. This will be passed down for generations. I know I held on to the blanket my boys were christened in and I plan to pass it to the first grand baby. What a precious baby shower gift.

Truth be told this does not have to be just a Christening blanket and layette set. You can select any color of the rainbow to crochet this and you would simply have a matching set for any baby.

Not being Catholic, I have never had a child Christened before, but this outfit is absolutely adorable. I love that it included options for a girl and a boy. This is a very elegant set and I would be proud to make it for any number of my friends who are Catholic if they ever needed an outfit for their child or grand child.
