Beautiful Bavarian Square
"The Bavarian Square is somewhat complex but not hard to understand once you get the hang of it. It's like the Catherine Wheel Stitch but with raised edges as a result of working into the posts. Choose the right colors and you will have an incredible afghan. The advantage of the square, you can stop when you feel like it to create the afghan size that is right for you. Enjoy this technique, it's really a lot of fun!"

This Bavarian square really does look very complicated. I have a friend that assures me that it is not as complicated as you would think. I really appreciate the designer including the video tutorial because I know I will need it until I really get the hang of creating this square.

What a beautiful square. I am a really big fan of the granny square and this I know is not a granny square by all means. I do know however, that a granny square can grow depending on the number of rounds. It is refreshing to know that this beautiful square can grow just as a granny square does.

I make afghans for charity. This works up beautifully for babies, toddlers, adults...just continue adding rows to make it as big as you want! Here are two I made recently.
