Compared to the Appalachian Mountains. The ridges resemble the mountain ridges in that European mountain chain. The red color can be likened to the time of day when the sun turns red and reflects on the land masses. Beautiful!

Oh I do like this square pattern so very much! And I also love the myriad options it provides for making different design when joining the squares together. Then one could also look at using a single color or a selection of colors. The only limit to those possibilities is going to be my own imagination. Awesome! Thanks so much for this pattern!
