Now if this does not scream masculine, I do not know what does. At my house, the color of the throw is never an issue when trying to keep the chill away. However, it is important to try to have some things in the house that are not all girly. I like brown but I am thinking about shades of blue.

This is reminiscent of a scrap buster project. The concept is easy enough to follow and no matter the colors you select to make this using the chunky yarn will get this done quickly. I am not a fan of HDC but sometimes I need to complete a project that does not require a lot of thinking.

I like the fact that this blanket uses columns. Less sewing together is required. It is easier as a "take along" project as well because it is one long strip and less bulky. It will just be mindless crocheting. Before long you will have the columns finished, will just need to join them and have a great blanket. Also with more columns you have a bigger blanket. Great!
