Carefree Blanket
"Carefree is a fun and popular crochet afghan pattern. Using Scheepjes Catona - a fingering weight cotton yarn, I made the sample piece in about a week. The motif has very intuitive repeats, for a large but quick hexagon. Of course, the half hexagon motif and the triangle gap filler to straighten the sides are all included, so your blanket will come out a rectangle. Also included is the Cherry Blossom Edging, a sweet little border that I wrote specially for this blanket. I hope you enjoy the pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it!"

This carefree blanket looks like something my little sister would go absolutely ga-ga over. She loves the eclectic look and if I understand the definition, this is an eclectic look if ever I did see it. I think this is beautiful to look at but the colors are just a little too busy for me.

If I had a penny for every motif afghan that I wanted to make, I would be a dollar-nare to say the least. I just think this one is really attractive in the color scheme of things. When you just pick out the colors you like and throw them together like this, the end result will be carefree.
