This is a beautiful piece. During my brother-in-laws service in the Army he was stationed for some time in Japan. His home now displays a few pieces that he brought back. Archie and Lorraine would love this. I guess if I start now, I could have it done in time for Christmas and I really mean, start now. This is a time consuming project.

This is a combination piece if I have ever seen one. I have used the afghan stitch many years ago because I really wanted to cross stitch a design. I had just learned to cross stitch and thought I would be a champ at completing it. Needless to say, I finished the blanket but failed to complete the cross stitch on the pattern. This Chinese Screen is not my taste but I can appreciate the work.

This is a beautiful Chinese Screen Afghan! I just wish I was better at the embroidery techniques. I have no problem doing the Afghan Stitch, but the embroidery will stop me. I will make the afghan if someone else can do the embroidery.. I just wish.. Thank you for sharing this free afghan pattern.
