Materials:

  • RED HEART Classic (5 skeins each)
    • 0258 Peachy
    • 0001 White
  • 5.0 mm (US H-8) hook
  • 5.50 mm (US I-9) hook

Size: 41” x 50”

Gauge: 6 rows = 3” ; Shell, sc, ch 1, sc = 2 ½”

Special Stitch: Shell (3 dcs, ch 1, 3 dcs) in stitch or space as indicated.

Instructions:

Note: Throw is crocheted in multiples of 10 plus 2.

Row 1: With H hook and peachy ch 152, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, [skip 3 chs, Shell in next ch, skip 3 chs, sc in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch] ending skip 3 chs, sc in each of last 2 chs, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in first stitch, [ch 3, sc in ch 1 space of of Shell, ch 3, (hdc, ch 1, hdc) in next ch 1 space] across ending ch 3, 2 hdcs in last stitch, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, 3 dcs in same stitch, [sc in next ch 3 space, ch 1, sc in next ch 3 space, Shell in ch 1 space] across ending 4 dcs in last stitch, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first stitch, [ch 3, (hdc, ch 1, hdc) in next ch 1 space, ch 3, sc in ch 1 space of Shell] across ending sc in turning ch, turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first stitch, [sc in ch 3 space, Shell in next ch 1 space, sc in next ch 3 space, ch 1] across ending sc in last ch 3 space, sc in last sc, turn.
Row 6: Repeat Row 2 and fasten off.
Row 7: Join white with a slip stitch in first stitch ch 3, continue with Row 3.
Row 8: Repeat Row 4.
Row 9: Repeat Row 5.
Row 10: Repeat Row 2.
Row 11: Repeat Row 3.
Row 12: Repeat Row 4, fasten off and turn.
Row 13: Join peachy with slip stitch in first stitch, ch 1, sc in first stitch, continue with Row 5.
Continue pattern for a total of 90 rows as follows: (6 rows peachy, 6 rows white) 7 times, 6 rows peachy

Edging

With I hook and white work along top edge, 7 dcs in first right corner hdc, [(sc, ch 3, sc) in next sc, 7 dcs in ch 1 space between 2 hdcs] across ending 7 dcs in last hdc.
Work along side edge (sc, ch 3, sc) in space below 2 scs, 7 dcs in space below 4 dcs, continue across evenly spacing and alternating (sc, ch 3, sc) in space and 7 dcs in space ending 7 dcs in first sc of bottom edge.
Work along bottom [(sc, ch 3, sc) in ch below Shell, 7 dcs in space between 2 scs] across ending 7 dcs in last sc.
Work along side edge alternating (sc, ch 3, sc) in space, 7 dcs in space matching placement of stitches as for other side, ending join to beginning dc and fasten off.
