Arrowhead Crochet Afghan

- Caron ® United™ (4 oz/113 g; 235 yds/215 m) Color A: Dark Grey Heather (06005) - 4 skeins; Color B: Soft Grey Heather (06004) - 6 skeins; Color C: White (06001) - 6 skeins
- Size U.S. H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Size: Approx 44” x 66” [112 x 168 cm], excluding fringe.
Gauge: 13 sc and 14 rows = 4” [10 cm].
Instructions:
Note: Afghan is worked sideways.
Ch 3 at beg of rows counts as dc throughout.
Stripe Pat
With A, work 2 rows.
With B, work 4 rows.
With A, work 2 rows.
With C, work 4 rows.
These 12 rows form Stripe Pat.
With A, ch 202 loosely. (Ch 4+2).
1st row: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc). *Skip next 3 ch. 1 tr in next ch. Working behind tr just made, 1 dc in each skipped ch. Rep from * to last 2 ch. 1 dc in each of next 2 ch. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. *Skip next 3 dc. 1 tr in next tr. Working in front of tr just made, 1 dc in each skipped dc. Rep from * to last 2 dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Join B. Break A. Turn.
3rd row: With B, ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. *Skip next 3 dc. 1 tr in next tr. Working behind tr just made, 1 dc in each skipped dc. Rep from * to last 2 dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Turn.
4th row: As 2nd row.
First 4 rows of Stripe Pat are complete.
Keeping cont in Stripe Pat, rep 3rd and 4th rows until work from beg measures approx 44” [112 cm], ending with 2 rows of A. Fasten off.
Fringe
Cut 12” [30.5 cm] lengths of yarn. Taking 6 strands tog, knot into fringe evenly along short ends of the Afghan, matching colors to stripes as shown in picture. Trim ends evenly.

This arrowhead afghan would definitely look vibrant if brighter colors were used. I would do that if I were to make this project. Thanks for having the pattern just right on the same page.
