The Cheer Up afghan is a very versatile and easy to master pattern that can be adapted for many occasions. One of my favorite ways to make it is to use a different varigated yarn for each square and the one of my choosing for each panel. Instead of blue for the main color I went with black. The finished blanket looks like stained glass and is just beautiful displayed on the back of a rocking chair,as well as being warm as toast on a cold evening.
