I really like this afghan. It is simple and the pattern is easy to follow. It should work up fairly quickly too. The ombre panels with solid edging and tassels makes it really classy looking. This would make a great gift for my sons. Lynn K mentioned it could be a rug as well. I can easily see it as one too.

Perhaps I am crazy (there are those who would agree, lol!) but as soon as I saw this afghan I immediately pictured it as a rug in our entrance hall. So right now I am in the process of working out which colors, which yarns and all those sorts of things. I am not the most experienced crocheter in the world but I am adventurous (and determined) so watch this space!
