Materials:
- RED HEART Classic: 4 skeins each 0902 Jockey Red, 0686 Paddy Green, 7 skeins 0001 White
- HERRSCHNERS Holiday: 1 skein 0101 Christmas Multi
- Crochet Hooks: 5.5 mm (US I-9) crochet hook or size needed for gauge
Special Stitch:
Cross Stitch – skip 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc, work a dc into 2nd skipped stitch and around previous double crochet, ch 1.

PANELS (Make 7)
Row 1: With red ch 20, dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch across, ch 3 and turn. (18 dc)
Row 2 (RS): 2 dc in next dc, (skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 7 times, skip 1 dc, dc in last stitch, ch 3 and turn.
Row 3: 1 dc in each stitch across, fasten off and turn. (18 dc)
Row 4: (Cross Stitch Row) Join white with a slip stitch in first dc, ch 4, work 5 cross stitches across, skip 1 dc, dc in last stitch, fasten off and turn.
Row 5: Join green with a slip stitch in first dc, ch 2, 1 dc in each dc and ch 1 across, ch 3 and turn.
(18 dc)
Row 6: Rep Row 2.
Row 7: Rep Row 3 and fasten off.
Row 8: Rep Row 4 and fasten off.
Rows 9 –71: Continue pattern alternating red and green (3 rows each) with white cross stitch in between.
PANEL 1 EDGING
With right side facing and white work along right edge of panel starting at bottom, 3 dc in each dc space across and fasten off .
PANEL 7 EDGING
With right side facing and white work along left edge of panel starting at top, 3 dc in each dc space across and fasten off.
PANELS 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 EDGING
With right side facing and white work along right edge of panel starting at bottom, 3 dc in each dc space across and fasten off .
With right side facing and white work along left edge of panel starting at top, 3 dc in each dc space across and fasten off
PANEL ASSEMBLY
With right side facing and white working through top loops whip stitch panels together beginning in first dc and ending in last dc. See Panel Diagram for placement of panels.
AFGHAN EDGING
Round 1 (RS): With Christmas Multi work along top edge sc in 2nd right corner dc, [ch 3, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc] 5 times, *[ch 3, sc in white dc space] 2 times, ch 3, sc in next green dc, [ch 3, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc] 6 times, repeat from * across ending ch 3, sc in first side edge dc space.
Work along side edge [ch 3, sc in next dc space] across ending ch 3.
Work along bottom edge sc in 2nd corner dc, [ch 3, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc] 5 times, *[ch 3, sc in white dc space] 2 times, ch 3, sc in next red dc, [ch 3 skip 2 dc, sc in next dc] 6 times, repeat from * across ending ch 3, sc in first side edge dc space.
Work along side edge [ch 3, sc in next dc space] across ending ch 3, join to beginning sc and fasten off.
Round 2 (RS): With white (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in each ch 3 space around, join to beginning sc and fasten off.

How nice. The pattern is just right on the same page. Thanks. This is the kind of Christmas pattern I want to work on because it is not so huge and the stitches are not so complicated.
