Hello, I'd like to know if there is a diagram pattern available for this design? Thank you so much!

After looking at the pattern I would say there is no diagram available...you can try to contact the actual pattern designer but it was written in 2001 and it seems that the website has not been updated since 2013. If you are wondering how to assemble the afghan, try using other hexagon afghan patterns for inspiration and/or instructions. I hope this helps.

I saw this at the Minnesota State Fair on August 29. 2018 . The background color was red and the stars were a sparkly white. A white border. I did rate it but have not made it yet.

Now this is a beautiful afghan. The rich blue background really makes the snowflakes stand out. Unfortunately, the designer just states to select a dark color for the background. I would love to know what brand and color was used for this.

Snowflakes are all about winter and what a special way to bring them inside. Winter is not my favorite season but who does not love the peace and tranquility of a fresh snow fall? This snowflake afghan is beautiful and please note how the edge of this design is scalloped. That is a beautiful design element.

This is such a lovely snowflake pattern. Definitely a keeper! I love tazike's idea of using a sparkly white wool for the snowflakes. And it just so happens I have some in my stash. Not enough for a whole afghan, but enough to make a motif or two. Then I could applique them onto a pillow or maybe a tote bag. Thanks Tazike!

This is another pattern in the group that I like to do. I like the blue and white combination. Here's the link to the pattern http//www.artoftangle.com/snowflake.htm

I used a sparkly form of wool for the white snowflakes. This came out great! Easy pattern to follow as well.

I am just finishing up this one, and it is stunning. I might make another, but with a different background color. The soft white/navy blue combo is classic, but I'll bet it rocks in red!

A lot will depend on a) how much exposure the craft site gets and b) how much you are asking for it.

I made this afghan and everyone loves it and wants me to make one for them. The only things is..... As with all hexagon afghans, the sides have big empty spaces. Is there someway I can eliminate these "notches"?

Hi! Did your snowflakes turn out like the picture? I made some sample snowflakes just to see how they would look but that was nothing like the picture and I followed the pattern to the letter. I would love to make this afghan but I'm disappointed it won't look right. Yvonne

It never ceases to amaze me how creative some people are. It's one thing to be able to reproduce an item, but to be able to first imagine it and then make it real is an amazing talent. This afghan demonstrates that. It is so beautiful and will most definitely be added to the top of my project list.

These projects are great to make in the summer when it is too hot to have big projects draped on your lap and then assemble when it cools off. My problem is that I sometime forget that I made them or where I stash the pieces to be assembled. Getting old is not for the faint of heart. :)

I really like this pattern...originally I said: "I'd like to try this snowflake afghan with different colors; maybe an ice blue for the flakes and lighter blue (not navy) for the background...or red or a deep purple...um, more ideas than yarn...lol" and this is the third place I've said it... :-P
