This granny square pattern is really very attractive. You can plainly see that this is a star in the center. I love the way the star is "anchored" in the square with that additional stitch. The directions seem easy enough and I am anxious to try this one out. Thanks for the free pattern.

This six inch simple wish granny square pattern is really very pretty. I would not have thought to use the color purple for the star but it does work. This granny square could be made changing the colors of the stars to create anything from a baby blanket to a regular size bed blanket. The sky is the limit as always with the wonderful granny square.

It looks like a simple pattern but the possibilities are endless. I can picture a star in the middle of a dark background just like a bright star on a dark night. It would make for an interesting square. Combine the squares and you have an interesting afghan, scarf or whatever you decide to do with the squares. Thank you for the pattern.
