"Like its namesake, the Aster Flower Granny Square will brighten up any motif project while adding texture and depth. Skills Used Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch Crocheting in the round Crocheting in between stitches, skipping stitches, increasing Crocheting in chain spaces Skill Level Easy Finished Size Motif: 6” (15 cm) square. Materials Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn (100% acrylic, 4.5 oz/128 g/268 yd/245 m) – 1 skein ea in 01425 Soft Rose (CA) and 01221 Soft Fern (CB), or approximately 18 yd (16.5 m) in CA and 42 yd (38.5 cm) in CB in any medium weight yarn. US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge. Yarn needle. Gauge Motif = 6” (15 cm) in pattern. Exact gauge is not critical for this project."
